T-SQL Optimization Consultant, Kerry.
My client, a dynamic software company in County Kerry, is now hiring a T-SQL Optimization Consultant for their database team in Co Kerry. This is a permanent full time role based onsite in Kerry. It is a hands-on technical role with an internal focus.
Role: You will be working as a key member of the DBA team and as such you will liaise with the software development team on all database issues in general (SQL Server) and with particular reference the optimization of stored procedures, and ensuring T-SQL coding best practice is followed. You will develop or assist in developing reports using SSRS, so the ability to document complex processes in a clear and concise fashion is a key part of this role.
Required Skills/experience:
You have strong Microsoft SQL Server skills and have a 3rd level qualification in IT. You should have core hands on expertise in T-SQL development and optimization, in particular an excellent understanding of TSQL optimization techniques and a detailed understanding of indexing and the SQL Engine. You have a proven track record of T-SQL best practice and have strong experience in Stored Procedure optimization techniques (including DMV’s and profiler). You are highly proficient in the creation of stored procedures, views, triggers and user-defined functions.
If you had any exposure to SSRS or SSIS this would be very desirable.
