Systems Engineer – Citrix

The successful candidate will join a young and enthusiastic team of engineers, consultants and trainers in the delivery of Professional Services and Pre-Sales Consulting to our network of Authorised Resellers and their customers throughout Ireland. [b]Primary duties will include the following (in order of initial job focus): -[/b]
• Support, design, implementation and consultancy work in the following product areas:
– The Citrix Delivery Centre portfolio including [red]XenDesktop, XenApp, XenServer[/red] and related products
– Windows 2003 and 2008 Server with Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services
– Storage and High Availability solutions from Datacore and Marathon
• Training in a classroom environment as a CCI (Citrix Certified Instructor) in our CALC (Citrix Authorised Learning Centre) facility. Training would account for less than a quarter of the candidate’s overall work schedule.
• Pre and post-sales support to reseller partners and end-users.

[b]The following are required skills: -[/b]
• Strong practical knowledge and experience in server and/or desktop virtualisation solutions and related Storage Area Networking technologies.
• Experience in design, installation and support of Windows 2003/2008 Server based systems.
• [red]MCSA or MCSE in Windows 2003 or 2008 Server[/red].
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to deal with customers in a patient and professional way.
• A practical knowledge of networking and security technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• A full, clean driving license (must have own transport).
