Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer works closely with Citrix Online’s sales and client services teams. Explains technology to potential customers, helps specify the customers’ technical needs, and coordinates the initial steps in the technical pre-sale process. Also assists key corporate account customers with their technical issues as requested by Key Account Managers and focuses on mid-market, named accounts and key accounts. When needed, may also participate in account reviews at the customer's site.

Principal Responsibilities
• Apply knowledge of technical aspects of Citrix Online's products including architecture and security to improve customers' satisfaction and possibly influence a buying decision.
• Communicate with clients via email, and telephone, and prepare and present standard product presentations and demonstrations during on-site visits.
• Conduct customer needs analyses with Sales regarding prospects in order to gain an understanding of their critical business issues
• Take direction from Sales to identify opportunities for product positioning, demonstrations, solving key business problems, etc.
• Build strong and lasting relationships with prospects and customers, and direct manager of systems engineering to contacts and strong candidates for case studies, referrals, and technical quotes.
• Act as a resource to various internal teams to provide product improvement feedback and product market trends.
• Training of new hires and ongoing training of Sales teams when required.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
• Understand competitive products and technologies in order to better present our value proposition.
• Communicate any new technical issues, ideas, and suggestions to the systems engineering team
• Monitor newsgroups, email listing services, etc and report any product mentions to systems engineering team
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
• Prior experience in a customer-facing Enterprise Systems Engineering role – Required
• Strong presentation skills-must be comfortable working directly with prospects, clients, and account executives – Required
• Strong computer skills with an emphasis in networking, trouble shooting, debugging, and problem solving – Required
• Familiarity with VPNs, Citrix, CRM products, and other remote access products preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to communicate with people of varying levels of technical aptitude required
• Outstanding customer relationship skills – ability to penetrate accounts and build relationships required
• Strong organizational skills with a quality focus, a great team attitude, and analytical problem solving skills required
• Fluency in English required, German and/or French required, other languages a plus (Italian or Spanish).
• Ability to travel 10-15%, both domestically and internationally.
