Curach Consulting is a leading Business and Technology consultancy. We work with a wide range of clients across various industry sectors to help deliver complex business and IT projects.
We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Systems Analyst for a long term part time contract role. This is a part time contract (3 days per week) and will run for 1 – 3 years. The contract will commence in August 2010. The role will be based on site at our client’s Dublin city centre premises.
The successful candidate will
•Maintain existing systems, and rapidly develop solutions to problems as required.
•Monitor and Respond to helpdesk calls
•Liaise with other technical authorities in the client organisation to provide an integrated approach to the client’s technologies
•Analyse and develop new information systems
•Provide skills transfer to client staff through regular review meetings and coaching.
•Be able to work in all aspects of a project life cycle from Business Analysis to implementation and testing
•Work mainly on their own initiative.
The potential candidates should be capable of performing and managing a wide variety of computer tasks to a very high standard. Experience of working in a client server developer environment is essential. Strong presentation and communication skills and a proven ability to work within tight deadlines are necessary for this role. In addition, the successful candidate should be people oriented with excellent interpersonal skills, organisational and time management skills. Experience working in the Public Sector is beneficial.
Required Skills
•3rd Level Degree in a Business or Computer Science discipline
•Minimum five (5) years work experience in a relevant discipline
•Strong Project Management Skills with relevant work experience (minimum three (3) years)
•Proven Track Record in use of prototyping techniques and their application to system development (eg Dynamic Systems Development Methodology or equivalent)
•A clear understanding of the concepts of time-boxing and the prioritisation of requirements
•A detailed knowledge of GIS and web-enabled application development
•Strong oral and written communication skills as well as customer facing and presentation skills
•Proven ability to work within tight deadlines
•Experience establishing good working relationships with clients and users to ensure delivery of products and services that best serve the business needs

This is a part time (3 days per week) contract role commencing in August 2010 and will run for up to three years.
The role will be based onsite at our clients premises.
