IT Support Engineer -Dublin Based
Qualcom Systems Ltd. was established in 1995 and provides equipment, maintenance and support services to many of Ireland’s leading companies. Due to our continued expansion and growth we are seeking to recruit a Customer Service Engineer to join our experienced and highly skilled team of networking specialists.
The person we are seeking must be a highly motivated self starter with a desire to achieve in a highly competitive environment. He or she will be of professional appearance and possess very good interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.The person must be flexible and willing to work late at short notice.Our business is customer driven and we have to be able to react quickly when called .
Overview
The engineer will be expected to attend customer sites to complete Installation and Maintenance work in the 32 counties on ,PC’S ,Printers ,scanners and network equipment.
Preferred Technical Skills
Strong Technical Aptitude
Excellent Diagnostic Skills
Printer Repair Experience
PC hardware and software
Microsoft Skills – achieved or studying for MCP’s Excellent PC hardware and operating system .
Must have experience installing Maintenance kits, fuser units.
Customer Skills
Ability to communicate clearly with customers. Sense of ownership of customer problem. Flexibility to work around customers time frame – will include out of hours work
Education
Technical Certificate /Diploma or equivalent experience
Personal Skills
Strong Communicator
Flexibility to occasionally work unsocial hours at short notice
Can work on own initiative/Motivated to do an excellent job
Requirements Full Clean Drivers License – Company Vehicle Supplied
