The candidate will be an Infrastructure Engineer in a major Infrastructure Consulting practice in the Irish marketplace, with one of the Tier 1 HP / IBM / VMware Business Partners.
The ideal candidate would have exposure to the management and configuration of one of the Unix flavours, ideally HP/UX but also Linux or AIX. A good knowledge and hands-on experience of a variety of hardware platforms would be an advantage also, particularly Blade systems and enterprise class storage platforms.
The ideal candidate will also have strong exposure to virtualisation products, particularly VMware. They would also have experience of implementing backup and recovery solutions (HP DataProtector, Veritas NetBackup etc.). Finally, the ideal candidate will have a number of technical certifications in storage, Unix & VMware VCP.
The candidate will be required to work as part of a multi-skilled Infrastructure consulting team working on chargeable projects, so should be open to learning new technologies, and should be prepared to work for multiple clients on a variety of infrastructure projects.
