Software Testers – Athlone , Ireland

Our client require a number of Software Testers for permanent roles. The client are a dynamic software company based in Athlone in Ireland. You would be working primarily on an outsourced project for one of the biggest IT companies in the world. Salary is negotiable but around €45k – €70k depending on experience.

Overseas candidates are welcome but you need to be eligible to work in Ireland (EU) and you should have fluent English and excellent communication skills.

Required Skills

· 4 – 5+ years relevant software testing experience

· Testing on a UNIX domain (Linux / Solaris)

· Experience of testing Java applications is required, understanding of Java/J2EE

· Any scripting experience such as: Perl / Python, Selenium-RC or Web Driver etc.

· Agile environment would be a distinct advantage

· Any experience is the Telecom sector would be beneficial although not required

Responsibilities Including

· Creation of test scripts and conditions

· Testing of software components in line with test plans and specifications

· Provide input to estimations and test schedules

· Regression testing

· Recording of test results

· Recording the details of faults detected during test cycles

· Execution of test conditions

· Execution of business test cycles and regression testing

· Status / progress reporting against agreed plans and schedules.
