Software Tester/UAT, USA Financials Services Group, County Clare.
We are a world leading multinational financial services company, listed on the Fortune 500, and with a significant presence in Ireland. We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Software Tester. This is a new role, it is a permanent career opportunity, and will be based on site in our data centre located in County Clare.
Role:
Working with the assigned Business Analyst, you will be responsible for mapping the business processes and scenarios that the configuration item is designed to support onto corresponding system processes. You will develop UAT (User Acceptance Test) Test Plans and UAT Test Scripts for multiple projects, and execute UAT Test Scripts. You will progresses development items efficiently through the project delivery cycle and you will escalate any process roadblocks to the relevant leader. You will liaise directly with key stakeholders (including Development Manager and Project Managers, Business Analysts etc) to resolve UAT failures.

Candidate profile:
You are an enthusiastic IT professional, with a 3rd level qualification in IT and you have a solid background in software testing, or in software QA or software user acceptance testing (UAT). The ideal profile is between 2 – 4 yrs total work experience. You should have between 1 – 3 years in software testing role and have experience in the development of test plans and test scripts.
You should have some experience of testing methodologies and managing test cycles and have gained some experience in producing and communicating accurate and timely status reports.
If you have ISEB foundation certificate in software testing or similar this would be ideal, but it not essential/required experience. Similarly, experience of using automation tools, SQL/database technology, or the UNIX platform would also be desirable.
