Providing software solutions to food processing industries in Ireland, the UK and France, our client’s customers include some of the largest meat processing companies, including Dunbia and the Kepak Group. They are now on the lookout for a Software Tester / Test Analyst to join their winning team.

This is a dual role requiring your first class technical skills and testing experience. As a Software Tester / Test Analyst, you will be responsible for system testing and technical writing.

Your role will comprise identifying testing processes for a project, preparing data, executing specific test cases, recording test activities and tracking the resolution of defects and identifying testing process improvements.

You’ll also be required to write and edit documentation for software systems, update documents for each release, as well as translate technical concepts into easily understood text or operating procedures.

In addition to building upon your knowledge of your client’s best practices to successfully build data and test plans, your other duties will include:

– Collaborating with development teams to support testing
– Preparing and conducting demonstrations
– Preparing documents, test plans, user cases, project manuals, reports, presentations and guidelines
– Ensuring accuracy and consistency within technical and validation documentation

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

– Software testing experience, including excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and bug resolution processes
– A working knowledge of SQL database systems

As a Software Tester / Test Analyst, you’ll need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work on your own initiative and good time management skills are also key.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical writing role, writing and editing documentation for software systems, but this is by no means essential.

A degree in computer science or another IT-related discipline would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of working with VB.NET and/or C# technologies.
