Software Test Engineer
The Role:
• Work closely with the development manager & business manager to ensure that systems are delivered in a high quality fashion.
• Responsibility for testing multiple projects in a release
• Analysing issues and identifying problems
• Troubleshooting environmental and application configuration issues
• Coordinating and communicating with other departments & third party vendors
• Working in a pressurised environment to deliver quality software releases on time
• Deploying & configuring releases & troubleshooting issues as they rise
The Requirements:
• Preferably 2 years experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of test automation tools is an advantage.
• Experience with UNIX systems & RDBMS
• Release experience in a busy development environment
• Enthusiastic and structured approach to application testing
• Experienced in writing & executing test plans
• Good problem solving abilities
• Ability to work on your own initiative and in a team environment
• Excellent organisational and documentation skills
• Excellent written, verbal communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage workload & work to exacting deadlines
An Advantage:
• Experience & / or an understanding of HTML, PHP, JAVA SCRIPT, TCL, C/C or other 4GL
