About the Candidate The ideal candidates will have 2 years experience in the software testing industry and be proactive in your career development. You will have experience in automated software testing tools. You will have a strong up-to-date technical knowledge and presently work in a hands-on position in a testing team. You will also have a strong knowledge on testing web based applications. You will be able to work on multiple test projects on multiple applications simultaneously. Responsibilities Design, create, and maintain suite of functional test plans and test cases Determine and document automated test strategy for new product features Assist development engineers in product defect diagnosis Conduct and participate in all necessary test reviews. Plan, maintain and execute test plans within agreed timeframes Develop, maintain and execute automated test cases Performance Testing: This would involve all aspects of systems testing and verification (Black box end to end behavioural testing, load and stress testing, robustness and long duration soaking etc.) Create defect reports and escalate issues to appropriate teams Investigating and reporting defects against the software under test and helping developers reproduce them. Maintain regular and clear communications with management and other teams through effective test reporting. Participate in the creation and reviewing of customer facing release notes for our live solution deployments. Review and analyse functional specifications Develop test plans and procedures appropriate to the application in conjunction with requirements and functional specifications Working with the development teams in the development lifecycle for the QA areas of responsibility and being part of the overall project applications team with responsibility for quality. Input into creation and maintenance of test environments The ideal Candidate will also have: Strong knowledge and experience of Software Testing processes Current technical knowledge of web-application development Understanding and experience of source control systems A Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Ability to work with changing responsibilities Experience in providing feedback related to test results Strong verbal and written communication skills including fluent English written and verbal Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, outlook and other common office tools Salary Negotiable depending on experience
