Software Sales Manager (Limerick or Dublin) circa 80K OTE

Business Development Manager

Our client is a dynamic and innovative software company based in Limerick. They have retained PBRecruitment to identify an ambitious business development executive to develop profitable new business opportunities in Ireland and abroad. This is a key role for our client. This role may be based from our client’s offices in Limerick, or may be based out of Dublin.
The role is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious, highly professional software sales professional to develop their career in a high growth market. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the company and play a vital role in its on-going success. Reporting to the CEO, the BDM will be responsible for the achievement of annual sales targets through account management, developing new account and managing various sales channels. Account management functions, partner relations, the setting and monitoring of annual targets, contract negotiations and pricing, are all included in the role.

Detailed job specification
The role will take responsibility for delivering to an agreed sales target.
The role includes the following
1. Prospecting for sales opportunities with key accounts.
a) Identifying suitable opportunities
b) Proposing optimal solution and developing pricing
c) Closing sale
d) Maintaining account relationship
2. Recruiting suitable partners
a) Maintaining relationship with these
b) Driving sales to agreed plan
3. Work closely with VP Business Development for direct sales and partner recruitment activities in Ireland, the UK and the USA.

Candidate Profile:
Educated to third level, you will be an accomplished software sales executive, combining an impressive track record in commercial management with high levels of personal credibility, along with first class relationship building skills. The company has a pragmatic, professional, "hands-on" and fast paced management culture and is looking for someone who will thrive in this type of environment.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable record selling software applications to enterprise class clients and/or in managing resellers who sell enterprise scale software applications to end-users.
Between 3-4 years’ experience is required. The candidate will be able to take full responsibility for the sales role, will require the minimum of hand-holding and expect to become self-sufficient within 3 months from joining.
Fluency of communication, written, oral and IT is an essential ingredient. The preferred candidate will be comfortable dealing with all levels of management at customers and partners and be able to operate independently and competently in all our target markets. This implies a capability to work with off-shore clients/partners, as the primary target market will be outside of Ireland. Fluency in another continental European language would be considered highly beneficial, as would knowledge of conducting business in the US or other European countries.

Educational and Business Background
A degree level or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering/IT or related discipline will be required. Proven sales experience selling software solutions to blue chip clients is essential.
A driven, ambitious attitude and a proven ability to achieve sales targets is a mandatory requirement

Package
A generous salary package is on offer to the chosen candidate. This includes all business expenses, use of company mobile phone and laptop. A commission scheme based on the annual sales target will be offered in addition to the base salary – the OTE potential is in the order of €80,000+
Interested candidates should have a track record of consistently hitting sales targets. You should possess your own car, have a full clean driving license, and be very motivated and very ambitious!
