As a Software Quality Engineer you’ll be supporting the vehicle engineering software teams to manage and improve quality standards, ensuring that established targets are met in line with automotive standards.
You’ll review requirements specifications and track quality metrics and code compliance, reporting on project progress against defined quality targets. You’ll prepare software quality documentation and procedures and play a key role in the implementation of key software process improvements.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll be educated to degree level or will have equivalent experience, using software quality engineering methods to deliver robust software in the automotive industry. You’ll have advanced knowledge of functional safety standards and the ability to manage stakeholders in a complex engineering environment, using project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
Any experience of full life cycle software development or delivering software products to market is highly advantageous, as is any exposure to ISO 9000, 26262 or GS5000 quality standards and models like CMMI and Automotive Spice.
