Software Quality Engineer (Limerick)

We are a well established Limerick based software company in growth mode and we have retained PBrecruitment Ltd to hire an experienced Software Quality Engineer to join our expanding team.

Duties:
• Create, manage and execute manual and automated tests on internal and customer software components
• Carry out performance and stress testing on software components
• Execute & document validation testing and user acceptance testing on software components
• Create and maintain test plans, validation plans, manual and automated test cases
• Maintain test environments including test data, test server configuration & software deployments
• Provide regular feedback to manager and software teams on progress.
• Manage internal issue tracking on each software project using a bug tracking tool
• Drive issue resolution for problems identified during internal and customer reviews ensuring issues have been prioritised and assigned and confirm they have been either closed or rescheduled.
• Identify error patterns as well as drive root cause analysis on issues
• Generate issue statistics and reports in order to produce quality metrics and identify risk areas.
• Identify, develop and maintain related standards
• Responsible for driving post-project evaluations and lessons learned
• Ensure the project has been conducted according to the defined Quality process and project methodology

Required Skills:

• Experience with Test Automation Tools (Robot Framework, Selenium or similar)
• Knowledge and experience of the full software test cycle
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in cross-functional project teams
• Ability to cope with changing priorities and multiple assignments
• Ability to act on your own initiative and be a self-starter.

The following skills would be an advantage:

• Experience using Agile development methodologies (SCRUM etc)
• Experience with mobile platform testing (MAC OS, Android etc)
• Experience of web based application development in Java and open-source
