We are a successful multinational ecommerce firm and are currently expanding our Irish back office operation and are now hiring for the position of Software QA Engineer. This is a permament full time role and there is an excellent benefits package on offer along with good long term career prospects.
Role:
You will be working with the business, development and site design teams to define, document and execute test plans/cases and results. You will be involved in working on new features and enhancements for our best in class E-Commerce applications. Responsibilities will include: lead QA project planning and strategy sessions with project managers, creating test plans and cases based on business requirements and technical specifications; and documenting, maintaining and monitoring software problem reports.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
Educated to degree standard, hou have a strong background in software QA with a deep understanding of Quality Assurance Methods and Practices. The ideal candidate will have a background (or skills/understanding) of the Software Development Life Cycle, with an understanding of different development models (eg Agile), ideally in a Unix environment. Web experience is vital to this role. Agile testing would be a plus as would ISEB/ITSQB tester qualifications.
