Software Project Manager required for a global financial services organisation based in Waterford city. This is a permanent opportunity for a Software Project Manager to manage all phases of projects (primarily software delivery / data conversion projects) from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities:

· Adhere to Project Management best practice standards and processes

· Engage project stakeholders and communicate project updates effectively

· Work with multi-site project teams

· Develop project plans that effectively align scope, time, cost, quality, resources, risk, communication and procurement

· Monitor all projects results for significant deviations and ensure development of contingency plans where necessary

· Successfully manage and escalate as required project changes, risks, issues and actions

Requirements:

· Educated to Degree level

· 3+ years software delivery project management experience within the financial or insurance industry.

· Prince / PMP certification or equivalent

· Leadership, influencing, and facilitation skills to coordinate and direct effective meetings for project teams

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Tech environment: Java, J2ee, SQL, PL/SQL, Waterfall (some Agile)

· 65k starting salary
