Software Innovation Leader (Java / C++)

Our client, an established global leader in their space, is setting up a new Software Development Centre in Dundalk. They are seeking an innovative and passionate technology leader to start-up, recruit and develop the development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptionally talented individual to have a leadership role as part of a team that can shape the direction of software development within a global corporation.

This role is one of the initial management team in the facility and is responsible for the Software Development team (other management roels are responsible for Project Management, testing etc).

The ideal candidate will be an innovative, creative leader in the technology space.

You should have a strong technical background in C / C++ or Java programming skills as well as in depth knowledge of Microsoft application platforms and web technologies.

Although you will have moved into a Management role, you will not have moved too far away from the actual hands-on development, architecture and code.

You should be someone who is naturally motivated by both leading new technical projects and a team of individuals. You should be comfortable creating a culture of innovation within your team.
This is an opportunity to lead the pioneering of new solutions and lead by example in concept definition and refinement of initial high-level software architecture for new projects and innovations.

You will be expected to look for the most appropriate technologies and most appropriate use of technologies rather than going with the trusted and tested.
