As part of the group's continued investment in its global technology team, a Software Engineer is now sought for the Dublin office.
Key responsibilities:
The candidate will be involved in the design and development of C# applications in the front office trading environment. Principally the candidate will bring strong software engineering skills to the role, along with an interest in developing real-time trading systems. The candidate will be required to liaise closely with the trading desks to deliver trading solutions, as well as to develop server-based trading components.
Analysis, Design and development of applications, taking projects through the entire software development cycle from requirements gathering to product release.
Strong engineering input in the interaction and design of co-operating systems.
Maintaining and tuning existing applications to meet performance criteria as business expands.
Requirements:
B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Experience of complex server side software development in C#, C++ or Java.
Ability to absorb mathematical algorithms and develop high-performance implementations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with traders, quantitative analysts, and other software developers.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Financial services and capital markets knowledge a plus.
Experience in performance tuning Windows platforms and networking an advantage.
