Software Architect (Fault Tolerant Computing)

Software Architect (Fault Tolerant Computing) provide technical expertise for a team developing and maintaining a fast growing on-line business based in south side Dublin and whose technical environment is vast and varied. You will be responsible for understanding the entire group of sites, with an emphasis on reliability and availability, identify failure modes and vulnerabilities in and recommend corrective actions, design high-availability into systems, coordinate the activities of software development teams as well as Network Engineers and Operational staff within the technical departments. This opportunity is an ideal opportunity for a highly technical candidate to work with like minded individuals in a company that values software engineering highly.

You should have a very strong academic background in computing and over 5 years experience in software development with at least 1-2 in architecture and design in fault-tolerant computing designing/maintaining mission-critical enterprise-scale systems. You will have a strong understanding of software, systems and network issues, particularly for a Microsoft Windows operating system environment. Windows 32 / 64 software development experience is a strong plus. You should have a proficiency in a broad array of technical skills including, operating systems, networking, fault-tolerance, security, transactional processing, databases, data structures, and client / server enterprise application development.
65-75K is the budget depending on years experience 20% bonus other great allowances and benefits.
