Snr QA Team Lead

Role Description
This role primarily focuses on leading and developing the product development QA function in an Agile focused environment

Requirements
Technical
* At least 5 years experience of working in a structured software testing environment
* Team Lead experience
* Experience testing Java based applications
* Understanding and experience of the MS Windows, Unix and Linux environment
* Experience of a relational database (Oracle) and SQL
* Experience with automation test tools

Industry Knowledge:

* Ideally banking industry domain knowledge in Collateral Asset Management.
* If the above is not given candidates must have banking knowledge and experience testing banking applications (financial transaction processing) – knowledge of different loan / lending products would be good.

Responsibilities
QA Testing
* Software testing planning and strategy development
* Resource management from scheduling of resources, estimating, coaching and mentoring
* To introduce Automated Testing tools and processes
* To continue to apply best QA practices
* To engage in hands on test execution
* Make an independent assessment of the quality of their software development and QA processes, procedures and results (identifying, minimising QA defects and quality metrics)
* Status / progress reporting against agreed plans and schedules
