Role Summary/Overall Responsibility
Our client, an international finance and insurance leader seeks applications for a 12 month SharePoint Administration contract role within the IT Team reporting to the Application Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of companywide SharePoint Farms. In addition to day to day operational support there will be a focus on Project work. Main Projects will relate to aligning infrastructure in accordance with IT Standards.
Main Functions:
- Administration and support of SharePoint 2010
- Routine patching of servers
- Create and maintain full documentation for relevant systems
- Monitor and analyse system performances
- Actively improve operations, policies and procedures
- Participate on projects from design to close out phase.
Qualifications/Experience:
- IT Degree (or some directly related experience)
- 3 year+ experience in deep technical support of Windows SharePoint farm and related applications.
- Experience in Windows an advantage but not required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong administration skills of Windows SharePoint
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Desire to increase knowledge and to learn new and/or improve skills
- Ability to work as a team member and excellent organizational skills.
