Server & Web Hosting System Administrator
Negotiable
Reporting to the Technology Officer, the role will involve:-
• System monitoring and preventative maintenance of internal systems and web hosting infrastructure
• Speedy diagnosis and resolution of problems
• Implementation of new systems and software in support of ISO27001 & business continuity project
• Manage hosting, backup, replication, security and IT systems
• Provide credible technical advice on all technical aspects of systems and solutions provided to staff
• Provide IT Training for staff & partner organisations
Personal Attributes:-
• Be a technically competent all rounder able to quickly understand new technologies and solutions
• Be able to multitask, prioritise own workload and work to exacting deadlines
• Have good interpersonal skills to work with colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations
• Be enthusiastic, self motivated and enjoy a hands on approach to getting the job done
• Have good written and verbal communication skills
• Be prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends depending on requirements
Essential Criteria
Proven experience of installing and supporting IT systems within a small business environment including the following:-
Proven experience of administration, management & security of following technologies:
• Windows 2003 or 2008 Server (active directory, group policy & IIS)
• SQL 2005
• Exchange Server 2007
• Firewalls & network technologies
• Web hosting infrastructure
