Technical Support Engineer/Technical Support Representative with German required for well established Company based in Galway
Duties: Investigate and resolve technical issues
Take responsibility in learning key products to an expert level
Ability to build relationships and develop rapport internally and with external clients
Provide technical leadership on support related issues including customer web support sessions, conference calls and liaising with account management
Must work effectively in a commercially aware yet customer sensitive capacity with Sales, Professional Services and Technical Engineering
Willing to be flexible, working flexible hours when necessary, and travel to customer sites, to achieve customer satisfaction goals
Education
Fluent English speaker and operationally fluent in German
Min 2-3 years technical support, or equivalent experience in a software environment
Technical Skills:
Administrative knowledge in Windows 2003 and above and at least two of the following technologies – Microsoft Windows AD, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL or UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX)
Knowledge in SQL Administration and querying the database with SQL scripts.
Knowledge of any of the following is advantageous, Firewall Technologies, Key Exchange / Authentication Technologies, Intrusion Detection
Demonstrated proficiency with TCP/IP and internetworking
