Overall Purpose of Job
To provide a very high standard of systems and network administration and to be an escalation point for the Corporate Support Desk. To forecast, investigate, test, design implement and document new technologies and to work closely with 3rd party vendors on technology projects and support.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Supports a Windows 2003/Exchange 2003 AD network
• Supports a MS SMS 2003 Distribution system
• Supports a state of the art EPOS System
• Supports VMWare – VSphere and ESXi
• Supports Windows 2008 server and Windows 7 OS
• Investigation, test, design and proposal of new technology implementation.
• Providing 2nd/3rd level IT technical support to Paddy Power plc staff
• Following and creating documented processes and procedures
• Determining priority of calls.
• Analysis of issues and problem solving.
• Responsibility for issues logged and ensuring resolution.
• Carrying out other tasks as required.

Education & Experience:
• Minimum of four years in a similar senior role.
• Strong working knowledge of networking including WAN topology, MPLS, mixed LAN/WAN operating system environments, DNS/WINS/DHCP, firewall solutions and network protocols).
• MOM/SCOM, VM Ware, SAN/NAS, Cisco and Checkpoint experience an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of supporting Microsoft products including NT, W2K, Windows 2003 2008, Exchange 2003,2010, MS SMS 2003, SCCM, MS Proxy (ISA), SQL Server and Office suite.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux based OS’s – Centos Ubuntu and Redhat an advantage
