Based in Galway, Ireland
6 – 9 month contract assignment
Daily rate in the region of [b]€365 – 380/day[/b]
Eden Recruitment is working closely with a Software Development Centre which is growing it’s operation in Galway Ireland.
Right now they have a requirement for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join one of their teams for a period of 6-9 months (Real possibility for this role to extend further).
As part of this geographically dispersed team this Senior QA resource will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies for a suite of mission critical web applications.
[b]Key areas:[/b]
• Requirements gathering
• Ability to work closely with in-house stakeholders
o Liaise closely with Development community
o Test personnel
o Project Managers
o Product End users
[b]Core Responsibilities: [/b]
• Devise and implement test strategies for a suite of applications (with a focus of functionality and performance). Run UAT for suite.
• Develop and nurture positive productive relationships with stakeholder parties involved with bringing the suite to market.
• Participate in formal reviews of business and functional requirements and application designs.
• Deliver quality process improvements focused on defect prevention.
• Coordinates test schedules, work and resource plans; manages progress of all test activities against plan.
• Identifies test issues and reports to project manager and business.
• Defines regression tests and coordinates production verification and validation.
• Communicates project plan information, objectives and deliverables to the team.
• Adhere to standard QA practices.
[b]Qualifications & Experience Required:[/b]
• Degree Qualified in a Computer Science discipline (ideally with a Quality Assurance certification).
• A minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience with at least 3 years in a QA or Business Analysis role.
• Very strong relationship, co-ordination and influencing skills (successful track record working across multiple teams and functional stakeholders).
• Very good knowledge of Software Lifecycle Management, Project Management and Change Management Processes.
• Applicants will have very strong Unix skills (Essential).
• Perl/Shell or QTP experience.
