Senior Performance Analyst

We are seeking a talented and experienced Performance Analyst to improve application performance for our transaction processing and back-office systems. You will join an experienced team reporting directly to the Senior Director Performance and Project Management. 

What you will do 

• This position will assume responsibility and operation of the performance load testing systems.

• Create and run the performance test plans and analyse the results for each application stack.

• Work with our globally disparate development and IT operations teams on a range of payment systems; testing, breaking, refining and improving their efficiency.

• Performance test creation, testing methodology, performance automation and performance-test strategy development.

• Provide application performance recommendations and reports – from tuning to development, driving capacity planning for the growth of systems in production environments.

Who you are

• 5+ years' experience in application performance testing and performance engineering.

• Proficient in MSSQL and C# for code reviews during testing.

• Proven skills with load testing tools eg. Tosca Flood, Selenium, jMeter, Loadrunner or similar is essential.

• Experience designing and/or implementing automated software testing, deployment and performance analysis systems.

• Have in-depth of knowledge in MSSQL, and ideally will have a programming background prior to working in a Performance analysis role.

• Experience in implementing performance monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of failure mode analysis and efficiency analysis in complex distributed systems.

• Excellent ability to execute performance tests and analyze results.

• Strong understanding of hardware load balancers, network optimization, or other related and demonstrable TCP-level experience within the remit of performance improvements to transaction processing systems is an advantage.

• Ideally have experience with large distributed systems such as large scale distributed database systems, geographically dispersed transaction processing, or horizontally scaled request processing systems.

• Ability to adapt and improve systems and processes, to accommodate rapid and increasing growth in systems and traffic.

• A natural at building adaptable, reusable test plans.

• Comfortable with performing code reviews, or code profiling to assure code is adhering to best performance practices; Assist with performance-related problem resolutions.

• Analytical, driven and interested in improving system efficiency.

• A passion to work in the Payments space.
