Job Description
As a Senior Engineer you will develop leading edge Mobile VoIP client applications for deployment on platforms such as Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Android. You will have strong C++ skills utilised in a Mobile Application development environment. You will work as part of the Engineering team responsible for the design, development and delivery of quality mobile VoIP applications. Excellent problem solving and technical analytical skills combined with knowledge of network trace utilities such as Wireshark are required. You will demonstrate strong client-facing qualities and will engage with customers on technical implementation topics. Prior exposure to relevant technical domains (e.g. Mobile VoIP applications, audio processing, SIP, telephony functions, VCC, IP video) and knowledge of telecom networks and principles are a distinct advantage.
Primary Responsibilities/Expected Job Outcomes
Design and develop Mobile VoIP application software using C++.
Prototype new product ideas on varying Mobile platforms.
Enhance and maintain core product functionality as well as developing client specific customisations.
Diagnose and address application issues raised in the field.
Carry out peer code reviews and quality assurance tasks on developed product.
Provide technical expertise for Pre-sales and Product Marketing requests.
Desired Skills
Third Level qualification in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field.
A minimum of 5 years experience developing mobile applications in C++.
Exposure to J2ME (Not essential but useful).
Experience in VoIP/SIP a distinct advantage.
Good presentation, oral and written communications ski
