Senior Linux Administrator

Within this role, you will be offered the opportunity to get involved with the latest technology and concepts in a fast paced environment. You will be supporting the corporate infrastructure of the company, as well as the extensive lab systems used to support the Development Staff.
Responsibilities will include:
– Monitoring and proactive maintenance of critical servers / services
– Active contribution in infrastructure development projects
– Performing root cause analysis for platform related issues
– Implementation and enforcement of standards and policies set out by corporate IT
– Create and maintain technical documentation
– Maintenance of asset registers for software and hardware
In order to be considered for this role, you should possess the following skills:
– Expert Linux experience, specifically RHEL
– In depth knowledge of virtualisation techniques and hands-on experience with XEN
– Experience with monitoring performance on infrastructural level
– Good knowledge of storage technologies – SAN & NAS
– Basic Database administration and troubleshooting (MYSQL)
– Excellent Scripting – Bash, Perl
– Advances TCP/IP networking
– CCNA or above
– 3rd level Degree
