Senior LINUX Admin – Systems Admin with LAMP, large scale experience, high-availability for on-line client based City Centre for permanent position.
Our client is currently developing a new data centre as part of an expansion project. They want to hire a Senior Linux Administrator with experience in setting up and implementing standards for a new data centre.
Duties:
Maintain and manage operational Linux environment
Upgrading and building new systems
Planning long-term system architecture.
Work with developer to architect and enhance applications
Monitor system performance and plan for future capacity and scaling
Requirements:
5 years of UNIX/Linux/Apache systems administration in large scale environment supporting highly available, customer-facing services
Experience scaling web applications in a highly available environment
In depth understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
Database set-up/admin experience essential, preferably MySQL
Experience implementing high-availability clustered web server solutions essential.
