Senior Lead Architect

Our client is looking for a Senior Lead Architect who lead & own the IT Architecture strategy and standards. You will have experience in defining and delivering IT Architecture strategies and ideally have experience in Data centre co-location services

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. IT Architecture strategy and future vision
2. IT Architecture roadmap – programmes and projects required to meet deadlines & targets of the business
3. Lead the design of our IT Architecture
4. Identifying risks and ensuring standards are fully compliant with Company policies and Regulatory requirements
5. Enforcement of the architecture standards policies and standards
6. Process by which the strategy, roadmap, policies and standards are created and updated
7. Technical consultancy to companywide projects

Technical skills:

1. Java, J2EE, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security
2. N-tier Java application design and development
3. Operating Systems – Windows 2008, Linux (RedHat Enterprise and other leading vendors)
4. Database – Microsoft SQL server 2008
5. Application servers including IIS and Apache/tomcat
6. Logging, monitoring, alerting, reporting and trending frameworks

Desired but not essential:

1. Data centre co-location services
2. Core network and security products (switches, routers, firewalls, IPS, load balancing)
3. Virtualisation technologies from VMware and other leading vendors
