Although the company is only 3 years old, Avego’s products are being used and deployed by consumer end-user customers in over 60 countries worldwide, with commercial product installations in China, India, Europe, and 7 cities in the United States. Your work will be seen and used!

What the job is about:
• Design and review of software systems and components (UML)
• Design and implementation of web-based UIs
• Creation and maintenance of functioning and testable code
• Support testing and operations by QA and other groups
• Liaise with other development teams, product management and sales
Who we’re looking for:
• An all-round-developer – someone who can work within multiple micro-teams or alone on multiple aspects of our system and who is passionate about developing code
Skills/experience we need:
• B.Sc. in Software Development / Software Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline
• 5+ years of Java, JEE experience including server-side component design and UI experience
• Advanced knowledge of OOAD & UML
• Working within an agile development framework
• Java/JEE development (JBoss, JMS, Hibernate, SQL, JQuery, etc.)
• Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.)
• Deploying and configuring Web applications for unix-based platforms.
• Process tools such as Ant/Maven, Jira, Hudson, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• An ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced revenue generating environment
And it would be an advantage if you have:
Strong data analysis skills
