Senior IT Field Engineer

INTACT Business Systems has been in operation since 1992. We are suppliers of accounting and IT solutions to businesses throughout Ireland. We are currently looking for a pre & post sales Senior IT Field Service Engineer to join our current team at our head office in Dundalk.

The role involves installation, configuration and support of the following products

• Microsoft Windows Server OS 2003/2008 including 2011 Small Business Server
• Desktop operating systems (Win 7/vista/ Win XP)
• Exchange Server 5.5 and higher
• Terminal Server and relevant services / Citrix (advantageous)
• VMWare & Hyper-V Virtualisation
• Microsoft Office and Integration
• Symantec Security and Mail filtering products as well as a strong understanding
of SMTP and POP. Symantec backup exec and relevant hardware
• HP Hardware, Proliant Intel based servers
• Zyxel, Cisco, Ruckus wireless and firewall devices (expert knowledge in
security and VPN an advantage)
• Microsoft SQL Server

Desired Candidate Profile

• Should be IT graduate/diploma with excellent communication skills
• Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant IT installation and configuration
experience.
• Must be customer focused.
• Have the ability to suggest the required solution to meet the customer’s
needs
• Must have good organisational and management skills

The role is a permanent position with immediate start. Company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone will also be provided
