Role Description:

The role entails solution design and implementation of both simple and complex infrastructure projects for both server and desktop. The role requires full solution design experience of server consolidation and infrastructure optimisation projects as well as a strong technical ability in migrations, backup infrastructure and disaster recovery.
The consultant must be able to take ownership of complex solutions and take them to completion with minimal supervision or review.
Requirements:
• Min 5 years experience in IT professional services consultancy in both implementation/support and pre-sales.
• Creation and review of customer technical proposals that meet customer's needs.
• Create and own full project and solution technical documentation to company and customer standards.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills for effective dialogue with customers and colleagues.
• Proven customer support focus
• Self starter who can work on their own initiative

Essential Skills:
• Specific experience in the design, implementation and support of enterprise scale solutions based on
– Microsoft Windows Server
– Active Directory
– Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010)
• Design and implementation of High Availability Solutions
• Design and implementation of Disaster Recovery Solutions

Desirable Skills:
• Strong technical design ability and expertise in the implementation and configuration of Virtualised Infrastructure solutions (VMware, HyperV) (Highly desirable)
• Experience of capacity planning and sizing methodologies for server consolidation and virtualisation projects
• Server Clustering
• Configuring / supporting SAN environments (Highly desirable)

• Networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills

Education requirement:
• IT – related degree
• Current MCSE or CCNA certification highly desirable
• VCP Certified highly desirable
• ITIL
