Senior Field Service Engineer

This is a varied role in that you will primarily work on high-level/consultancy level installations/projects but also on day-to-day support as and when required. You will plan, install, configure and troubleshoot complex IT systems, both hardware and software. Also focus on day-to-day support of our customers’ IT needs, from level 2 issues to level 3 server and network outages.

[b]Key Responsibilities: [/b]

• Provide On-Site Technical Support to our customers. At times you will be required to provide remote support.

• Trouble-shoot issues relating to Servers, Networking, and LAN/WAN Connectivity, Email, Security, Permissions, Backups etc.

• Installation & Configuration of HA Servers, SAN storage and MPLS networking devices

• Installation and Maintenance of IP telephony Systems

[b] Requirements: [/b]

• 3+ years experience in ideally field and remote support including significant installation and customer-facing experience.

• Hold at least one of the following: MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, CCNA/CCNP.

• Hold a 3rd level degree

• VMWare Certifications (VCP5) would be a distinct advantage

• Solid experience of installation & Trouble-shooting of Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 and Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010/2013

• Experience in configuring and maintaining Office 365 and other SaaS solutions

• Experience of Installation & System Administration of Windows XP/7/8

• Extensive experience of Routers, Firewalls, VPN (IPSec / SSL) Set-Up & Configuration

• Experience in Phone System management and installation.

• A proven track record in the delivery of complex ICT hardware installation including a strong first time fix rate on repairs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluent spoken and written English, to converse professionally with both non-technical end-users and at Board & Management level.

• Must be team player with strong customer service focus

• Full clean Driving Licence is essential

This is a field service role so there will be travel required, however we have positions for our South East, Cork City and Dublin offices

This is a full time permanent position. A competitive remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualification level will be offered to the successful candidate. A company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, expenses and (certified) technical training will form as part of the package. You will be exposed to the latest technology available on the market and will be the primary project implementation engineer for clients in both the private and public sectors.
