Senior Deployment Engineer

[b]Senior Deployment Engineer- Contract – Immediate Start[/b]

We are seeking a Senior Deployment Engineer with a strong UNIX systems administrator background to join the deployment team of an International organisation. Working as a senior member of the technical team the role will require you to have a strong java background in addition to UNIX.

The role will specialise in the setup, installation and integration of company software into client site environments. The role may include an element of being on call to cover launch support for 24×7 customers worldwide

[b]Some of the key responsibilities will include[/b]
Provision of technical input on design related issues at the outset of a project, and develop an understanding of the solution being provided to customers at both hardware and software levels.
You will be responsible for the complete deployment and integration of the project solution

[b]Key Skills & Experience[/b]
3 years plus experience in installing and maintaining mission critical 24×7 production, in a UNIX based environment Solaris or Linux
Linux (Redhat preferred) Solaris 9,10
Oracle / MySQL Databases
TCP/IP Networking
Cisco
Scripting (Awk, Shell, Perl)
System hardware knowledge
Experience with Java web applications running in Tomcat / Apache
