Senior Business Intelligence Consultant

Avnet Client Solutions are Irelands largest indigenous software solution providers. We are looking for a number of Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence Consultants for its growing Business Intelligence Division.

Your responsibilities:

The Primary responsibilities include, involvement in the design, development and deployment of Business Intelligence Solutions using the technologies listed below.

Your tasks will include:

The suitable candidates will have strong database development skills, ideally in one or more of the following database platforms:

MS SQL Server (DB & SSIS)
MySQL
Oracle 9 (PLSQL)
Teradata
Candidates will also have a solid grounding in database design principals.

Exposure to Data Warehouse fundamentals & design methodologies will be an advantage i.e. (dimensional modelling techniques, star schemas, snowflake schemas), although some training will be provided.

Development experience in any of the following reporting products is also desired:

Business Objects
Microsoft BI (SSAS, SSRS)
MicroStrategy
Cognos
Certification in any of the above technologies would be an advantage.

Your profile:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and will have excellent communication skills. This is a consultancy role, so all candidates should be willing to work on client sites in the greater Dublin and/or Cork area.
