Position: Senior Business Analyst

Location: South East

Description:

Senior Business Analyst required for leading financial services multinational based in the South East.

The Senior Business Analyst position will involve working directly with various partners evolving and detailing the needs of the business, making and recommending changes to business processes as well as cultivating and promoting positive relationships with customers.

Additional Responsibilities:

Responsible for gathering, documenting and validating business requirements. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for performing in-depth analysis on these requirements to ensure verifiability.
Providing analysis support to the various project managers as well as supporting technical design and validating process development.
Perform research and analyse business unit requirements to determine the needs of the project.
Assist the Quality Assurance team by ensuring requirements have been accurately translated into test plans. May also be required to perform some UAT testing as required.
Mentor junior business analysts and delegate tasks as required.
Monitor and provide recommendations in relation to costs and scheduling.
Promote strong, cooperative working relationships across the various business units with IT in order to ensure all issues are resolved in an efficient manner.

Requirements:

5 years+ experience within a similar position
Strong communication and interpersonal skills ideally having experience of liaising with global partners on a regular basis
Proven experience working within multiple business units
Strong technical expertise – must be familiar with web applications, mainframe, databases and SQL
Must be familiar with the Agile methodology
Proven experience managing business requirements and estimating business efforts.
Background in Financial Services is preferable but not essential
