Senior Business Analyst

Our Dublin based client is looking for a Senior BA to be responsible for the identification and implementation of new processes/systems. The contract is for 6 months with the view of been extended long term. Daily rate on offer is €500 to €550 DOE.

The Senior BA will be responsible for the identification and implementation of new processes/systems across many different technologies such as Oracle e-Business, Oracle CC&B, IBM Maximo integration suite and RFI technologies.

Strong communication skills are vital with this position; the successful candidate must be able to efficiently communication with all levels within the organisation. This position will require occasional travel within Ireland. This ideal candidate will be flexible, dynamic and have a strong interest in process and technology implementation projects.

Responsibilities:

•Support the Innovation and Technology (inc. SCADA) Specialist in on-going activities and in
shaping and implementing efficient and effective processes and adoption of best practice
•Gathering and analysing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems
requirements
•Critically evaluating the information gathered to distinguish non-essential user requests from the
underlying business needs
•Analyse information needs and business requirements and deliver as needed: process flow diagrams, data models, functional requirements, use cases, interface designs
•Interpret the business needs and translate them into a specification of requirements
•Project-related responsibilities to deploy new solutions and/or enhancements to existing applications
•Gravitas required to influence at C level within the organization
•Entrepreneurial, innovative mindset , balanced with the requirement to navigate complex relationships within a structured organisation
•Influence decision makers at all levels by been able to communicate effectively and making strong arguments in favour of the trade off’s between Design, Time, Scope and Cost
•Ensures testing of new applications / system enhancements meets requirements
•Serve as a conduit between business units, the ICT Unit, and application development or support teams at suppliers
•Mentoring and skills transfer
•Other duties as required from time to time.

Requirements:
•8 years+ experience as a Senior Business Analyst
•Relevant Third Level qualification
Project Management qualification (Desirable)
•Able to manage the successful execution of IT projects by aligning cost, service and product
implementation to meet business needs and expectations
•Must keep updated on new and modern technologies and see how these could be effectively used within the company
•Strong knowledge of relevant systems and technologies (including SCADA, telemetry) (Desirable)
•Must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels – from Board members to junior staff members
•Experience of working with the Oracle suite of products such as Oracle e-Business, Oracle CC&B (Desirable)
•Utilities industry experience (Highly Desirable)
•Public sector exposure (Nice to Have)
•Develop relationships to accomplish team goals coupled with dealing effectively with differences of opinion and conflict management
•Excellent diagrammatical skills in producing workflows, process diagrams etc. is a requirement for this role
•Must be able to write clear, concise and practical documents
•Must have strong multitasking skills along with the ability to prioritise workloads
•Experience in leading and mentoring teams, through coaching and development, while
empowering through delegation of decision making and accountability
•Driver of high standards for individual, team and organisational accomplishment and
delivering desired results

•Proven track record with dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion, along
