My client, a major corporation, engaged in the development of software systems to support their global business operations within the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Test Analyst / Automation Tester and A Senior Automation Test Engineer to join their existing test team, tasked with ensuring quality software releases for the Software development Group.

Role:

The Senior Automation Test Engineer will take responsibility for automating the testing efforts with an agile/scrum environment, being an advocate for automation testing throughout the group, including researching new automation testing techniques and tools.

You will be expected to develop and execute automated tests as part of an Agile Development team, working with developers and business analysts and other members of the software test team.

You may also be required to assist in some manual testing delivering high quality testing results across software applications development products. The test team works throughout the SDLC, developing and executing test plans, test scripts, test cases and documentation, engaged in a variety of software testing including functional, integrated, performance and regression testing.

Ideally you will have a background in Agile Test environments, test automation or a mix of manual & automation testing experience within a software development environment.

You must have the following experience: ·

* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business systems or similar
* Minimum of 2 years commercial experience in Software Testing, Software QA or Development
* Automation testing experience essential
* Test Automation tools & frameworks with one of: Selenium web driver, UFT (Unified Function Testing) or QTP, JMeter, Jenkins or similar
* Strong technical ability to create testing scripts that meet both business and IT testing needs
* Knowledge of tools such as ALM Quality Centre, Jira, TFS, etc
* Technical skills in some of: SQL, Databases, .NET, Java, C++ or related languages
* Strong communication skills
* Technical & Business acumen

Any exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies, Test-driven development, web applications testing experience is highly desirable.
