SoftCo are seeking an outstanding Senior ASP.NET and Silverlight Developer to join our core Product Development Group. Based in our Dublin HQ, the successful candidate will report to the Director of Software Development and work with a team of highly skilled, dedicated professionals whose primary responsibility is the development of cutting-edge components which form the SoftCo product suite.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver world-class ASP.NET and Silverlight applications to enhance and expand the SoftCo product suite.
• Collaborate with the team of creative and technical experts, providing input on activities ranging from tactical projects to significant architectural and user interface improvements.
• Contribute to the entire development lifecycle from initial concept creation through to implementation and assisting QA and product support teams.
• Professionally deliver business critical development projects on schedule and accurate to specification.
• Report regularly to key stakeholders.

Your profile:

• A degree in computer science from a recognised University or Technical College.
• Significant experience building ASP.NET software applications with strong knowledge of C#, .NET Framework 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5.
• Knowledge of Web technologies such as HTML, HTTP, Java Script and AJAX.
• Knowledge and experience of Web Services technologies including XML, SOAP & WSDL.
• Experience with Silverlight, XAML and LINQ would highly desirable.
• Knowledge of newer Microsoft technologies such as WCF, WF and WPF would be an advantage
• Experience of graphic design tools such as PhotoShop or Microsoft Expression suite.
• Proven ability to take ownership of development projects and deliver within tight deadlines.
• Good understanding of project and product lifecycles
• Enthusiasm for software development and emerging technologies.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
