I am working with a company who are rapidly growing and are looking to expand their team with an addition of a Security Engineer. If you are interested in Security and have experience with Linux, Virtualization, Vulnerability, Python, SecDevOps and are ready to make the move to a more senior position then this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse vulnerability information from the team and respond by providing detailed, quality research of security issues and make decisions around patching or mitigation
* Work with engineering teams to develop a new service and provide security review of the architecture, components, and deployment of the service
* Already established services will require you to work closely with the PSIRT, analysing vulnerabilities in offerings; for newly developed services written in Python or other languages and provide an independent examination and code audit
* Communicate quickly and effectively with various stakeholders and customers about security vulnerabilities
* Write technical documentation on vulnerabilities, including mitigations and fixes, in a clear and easy-to-understand manner
* Coordinate effectively with upstream communities and vendors for embargoed vulnerabilities, patches, and common release dates
* Drive to understand current and emerging threats in the enterprise offerings and services space
Key Requirements
* 6 years of practical vulnerability response and assessment experience
* Display a good understanding of current security technologies
* Solid experience with and proficiency in the Linux operating system and container-based platforms i.e. Red Hat OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, Docker
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams on a global scale
* Programming experience with Go, C, or C++; proficiency in multiple languages like Python, Java, or Ruby; ability to read the code
* IDA Pro or equivalent disassembly tools
* Familiarity with open source software
* Experience with auditing and pen testing web applications
