Description of Role
The Systems Analyst will work as a member of the Procurement Business Systems function. The position of Systems Analyst encompasses both managerial and administrative responsibilities which include the following:
- Liaise with third party suppliers and developers, and the Office of the Chief Information Officer in setting up and maintaining the clients Procurement technology solutions
- Liaise with client functions and customers during the project definition phase and post go-live on an on-going basis, to translate business processes into the clients Procurement technology solutions.
- Conduct testing including; functional, system and unit testing.
- Train function based super users to support wider staff groups in using the clients Procurement systems.
- Responsible for user management including setup and maintenance of the user base.
- Troubleshooting, support and maintenance of the clients Procurement systems.
- Carrying out validation checks and investigating issues.
- Support future SAP system rollout
- Contribute to identification of continuous improvement opportunities
Administration
- Maintain a good understanding of internal and external factors that can affect service delivery including awareness of national and local issues that impact on own area
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Promote co-operation and working in harmony with other teams and disciplines
- Solve problems and make decisions in a timely manner.
- Ensure decisions are in line with local and national agreements
- Provide administrative support for meetings and attend as required.
- Implement stringent change management procedures in respect of the clients Procurement technology solutions.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- 3 Year(s) of working experience in the SAP MM (WM advantageous) related field is required for this position.
- Technical know-how on SAP MM (customizing and functionalities)
- Has good MM Business Process background
- Ability to prepare concepts, functional designs, solutions related to the WM module
- Knowledge of interfacing SAP to external systems (IDOC/BAPi)
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) Functions, Printouts, Forms, Scanners, Data Migration
- Has experience of managing small scale projects preferable
- Be technically focused on database set-up, system configuration, testing etc.
