SAP SD CONSULTANT

Hudson IT & Telecoms are seeking applications for a SAP SD Consultant to work in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
You will have experience of Configuration and Implemtation of the SAP SD system and have worked on at least one full life-cycle and rollout of SD Modules.
Scope of responsibility includes the following areas:

The successful candidate will be part of a small dedicated SAP team and play a central role in using technology to streamline and improve business processes by:

• Acting as a regional or global expert providing second level support for business processes in one or more SAP modules e.g. SD but also touching on SCM/WM/MM/PP/QM/HR or ABAP programming.
• Primarily responsible for incident resolution and support of the existing 4.6c system
• In addition to support participation in key projects per the IT project plan e.g. new implementations of SAP in business units, automation projects, system upgrades.
• Managing and/or performing the design, testing and application of SAP systems in line with agreed timeframes, business requirements and global standards.
• Applying conceptual knowledge and technology to solve complex business processes and procedural problems.
• Carrying out detailed impact assessments for proposed change requests, proposing alternative cost-effective solutions where appropriate.
• Ensuring appropriate business involvement in project teams to build ownership for solutions.

Business & Technical Experience:
Essential
• A minimum of 3 years SAP configuration to include experience in at least one of the following modules and a minimum of 1 full implementation.
•
• ABAP programming with exposure to EDI and interface support.
• Supply Chain Management – reducing backorder and inventory
• MM or WM improving materials and warehouse management
• In addition any exposure to PP/QM or HR would be advantageous to supplement the support in these modules which is currently provided by our US Support team.

• Strong cross functional knowledge and understanding of the role of the finance function.
• Exceptional Communication Skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent Numeric, Diagnostic and Analysis Skills.
• Fluent English.
• A desire to relocate based on lifestyle choice

Preferred
• Experience of working within a FDA or SOx regulated industry.

• Fluency in other European languages.

Qualifications & Education:

A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
