Reporting to the VP EMEA Sales, the Sales Engineering Team Leader applies technical expertise, customer relationship building, and basic team selling skills in order to support the sale of the clients software and services. This support includes, but is not limited to: pre-sales strategy planning, technical fit qualification, professional product demonstrations, and applying BI industry knowledge and competitive expertise throughout the sales cycle to win business. The Sales Engineering Team is ultimately responsible for the success of the prospect’s technical evaluation and perceived value of the software solution as a whole. Working both as Team Lead and as a Sales Engineer, the Sales Engineering Team Leader works closely with Sales Representatives to drive the prospect’s pre-sale technical evaluation process.
Qualifications:
* 4 year College degree in Computer Science or technical subject area such as Math or Engineering
* 4-6 years data processing experience, preferably with pre-sales demo expertise.
* 2 years team lead or management experience, ideally in a pre-sales or professional services environment
* Proficient in SQL, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, XML, Linux and Windows.
* Valid Drivers license.
* Willingness and ability to travel with little notice.
* At least five years experience dealing with customers.
* Must be success oriented and a self starter.
* Fluent in French AND English: additional European languages – particularly Italian – a distinct advantage (e.g. Dutch, Polish, Russian, Scandinavian languages, Portuguese, Turkish, Swedish, Finnish, Czech, German, Spanish, Arabic)
