Quality Assurance Technical Co-Ordinator

Quality Assurance Technical Co-ordinator, £24k, Belfast – 1 year contract

My Client has a requirement for a QA Technical Co-ordinator position for a 1 year fixed term contract to interface with the QA team, production and support functions throughout the site and with customers and suppliers.  You will have overall responsibility for providing technical, analytical and administrative support to QA function and act as a key contact between Quality /Internal customers and third parties including Suppliers, Customers, Brand Services and Demand Company for quality related matters appropriate to the role.

Your Duties
* Overall responsibility for providing technical, analytical and administrative support to the QA function. 
* Manage and Audit the QA Calibration and Maintenance schedules including validation of new equipment.
* Maintain and develop all QA SOPs and competency assessments.
* Manage the QA proficiency schemes and generate appropriate management reports.
* QA Administration including Management of sample shipments and QC Hold stock.
* Manage QA Training skills matrix to ensure adequate trained staff are available to support the production function.
* Manage consumable and chemical stocks within the QA function

 Experience and Qualifications
* 3rd Level Qualification in a  Food Science/Technology or Engineering Related Area.
* Two Year’s Experience in a Food  Production environment with thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance Principles.
* Or
* Minimum of five Year’s Experience in a Bottling/Canning or Food Production environment with thorough knowledge of Quality Assurance Principles.
* Computer literacy essential.
* Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety and ideally a good understanding of microbiology and chemistry

 Desirable.
* A good understanding of microbiology and chemistry
* Diploma or degree that includes Packaging Technology desirable
* Formal qualification in Auditing of Quality Management Systems would be desirable
