Quality Assurance Analyst

*The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following duties
consistent with the Quality Assurance Analyst function:
*Work closely with internal and external teams to understand business and functional
requirements to develop test plans, scripts and test cases while identifying project scope and risks.
*Works on problems of extended scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review
of a variety of factors.
*Drives the documentation of testing requirements and processes for all applications to ensure QA policies and standards are met.
*Review test plans, cases and work of junior members of the team.
*Work with Automation and Technical team to design and improve test environments
*Create and execute manual/automated tests cases through all stages of the Software Life
Cycle.
*Executing and/or supporting customer UAT testing both remotely and on-site as required.
*Identify discrepancies, report defects utilizing the internal tracking application, communicate
with the development team, communicating risks with the client and managed services as well as the business.
*Demonstrate leadership and influence projects. Interact within a team structure and often on ad hoc basis and multiple activities. Manage numerous threads to a high standard.
*Providing on call support on a rota basis.
*Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
*Demonstrate high level of flexibility in line with business requirements.

Experience:

*At least 2-3 years of experience
*Knowledge of defect tracking systems and processes; including change management,
required.
*Demonstrated working knowledge of software version control and release management
required.
*Experience of running applications and analyzing problems in Unix/Linux environment
*Demonstrated experience in developing and executing test plans, test scripts, and test cases
using a proven methodology and documentation format required.
*Experience utilizing defect tracking software (preferably Perforce) and Stress and Capacity
testing tools required.
*Knowledge of Mercury Win Runner, Segue Silk, or Rational Team Test tools is a plus, but not
required.
*Experience with Order Management Systems, Real Tick and/or the FIX protocol a plus.
*Experience or understanding of Financial Systems a plus

Education
Bachelor’s degree (2:1)in Business, Finance, Math, Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical or trade business professional work experience required.
