QA ENGINEER -CONTRACT – CORK
The primary responsibility of this position is to test Tivoli’s Service Management product. This includes all possible independent test phases, including component and system verification testing, performance testing etc
Ø With little guidance, develop, modify, and execute software test
plans of moderate complexity
Ø Execution of project QA schedules on time
Ø Implement testing per test standards and procedures
Ø Maintain documentation of test results
Ø Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Ø Participate in reviews of requirements and development documentation
Skills and Qualifications
* At least 5 yrs experience in Software Testing
* Typically requires degree in a computer-related discipline or
equivalent
* Has experience in Java , XML, SQL, shell and/or Perl scripting. SQLknowledge must be strong.
* Has strong knowledge of platform software (e.g Solaris, AIX, Linux and Oracle/DB2. Proficient in UNIX.
* knowledge of testing tools and methodologies
* knowledge of telecom networks and standards
