Founded in 2006, our client is an exciting software development company based in Dublin. They are currently looking to recruit a QA Engineer / Software Tester to join their team.

As a QA Engineer / Software Tester, you will be responsible for governing and executing our client’s test and build processes. This will involve standardising methods, procedures and processes, developing test plans and cases, and documenting and tracking issues in the defect tracking database.

Working closely with the project teams, you will communicate QA status and implications, as well as contribute to improving the software development lifecycle, specifically around test and release planning and process automation.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

– experience in a similar QA engineer or software tester role, including experience of troubleshooting and resolving issues
– knowledge of experience of using web based technologies such as HTML and CSS
– experience of using MS SQL Server and T-SQL stored procedures
– a client-facing background

Additionally, as a QA Engineer / Software Tester, you will have a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also key.

Whilst not essential, a degree in computer science or another related discipline would be a distinct advantage to your application. Knowledge or experience of the following would also be beneficial: using Agile methodologies (such as Scrum), or using automation tools (such as QTP or Selenium).
