Software QA Architect for West Dublin
Hudson is now looking for a QA Architect for a client in west Dublin.
The company produces business software for the international market
Key responsibilities and deliverables
• Accountable for overall product quality for the companies main product.
• Provide governance, mentoring and coaching to testers on the agile product development teams.
• Overall ownership of broader product quality metrics.
• Responsible for championing the testing discipline and evangelising its visionary direction across a number of agile product development teams.
• Responsible for ensuring all testing adheres to optimal testing processes through technical innovation and application of expert knowledge
• Ensure high quality product releases by governing product testing.
• Liaise with related or effected project teams to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated.
• Represent product quality at review meetings, providing updates on testing progress.
• Drive the research and adoption of relevant new testing technologies and techniques
• Provide technical leadership to functional and automation testers.
• Responsible for people management of some manual testers and automation engineers.
• Transform current automation suite into a best practice high coverage framework that can be easily leveraged by cross functional agile team members.
Qualifications
• ·BSc in Computer Science related disciplined, or equivalent on the job experience
Experience
• 5 years’ experience working in a senior tester or team lead role within a QA group, with previous management experience
• Good SQL skills (MS SQL Server , Oracle)
• Good working knowledge of Web applications and technologies (e.g. IIS, Tomcat ASP, HTML, XML, SSL etc)
• In depth experience and knowledge of at least one leading Automation solution
• Must have hands on experience testing, troubleshooting issues as well as test planning
• Programming skills, preferably with at least one script language (Javascript, Perl)
• Java experience, JUnit and JMeter would be an advantage
• Experience with automation; IBM rational functional test & Silk Performer and/or experience working in a TDD environment.
• Experience of working in or rolling out an Agile Methodology.
• Ideally experienced with CRM software
