Responsibilities and Duties including but are not limited to:
Design, document and execute tests for internally developed software or customised off-the-shelf products
Establish not just the functional correctness of a system but also that its performance, reliability, scalability and security attributes meet the requirements
Manage multiple QA engagements by using internal/external resources.
Work with the technical teams and internal audit to develop and put in place testing procedures/guidelines for multiple Development teams both SOX and non-SOX
Manage the software release/deployment process
Liaise with internal and external auditors on the construction, performance, operation, and review of compliance and other controls
Engage with both business and technical owners to bring the appropriate level of rigour to the development and enhancement of systems.
Actively participate in the inception, requirements gathering, specification, development (reviewing developers’ automated unit tests), functional testing, acceptance testing and maintenance steps in the software development process.
Contribute to the definition of development standards promoting testing efficiency and effectiveness including test automation
Promote software between development, test, and production deployment
Education:
Third level Certification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years experience in QA environment
Demonstrable track record in all aspects of QA testing
Good knowledge of MS SQL Server programming and administration
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Independent and innovative thinker
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Intimate familiarity with best practice in QA processes
Accomplished technical communicator
Automated test experience a definite advantage
Work with product development on problem analysis, diagnosis, testing and solution
Write functional test scripts based on functional specifications and other documentation
Ensure compliance with relevant company standards and guidelines
